Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name, date of birth, or another value into an embedded search tool, the request is sent to the company that runs that tool. That provider returns its result and applies its own data practices. This site does not keep a local log of the terms entered into those partner tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message to the site operator, the submitted details may be retained so a response can be made. They are handled within the operator’s team and are not given to an outside party unless a legal duty requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, technical details about the visit may be recorded, including:
- The network address assigned to the device
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on each
- The referring site, when one is present
- Date and time of a page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Analytics tools may use them to measure overall traffic, page use, and performance so the operator can understand which sections are useful. Browser settings can block cookies, though some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Information collected from site visits may be used for these purposes:
- Maintaining the service and improving load time
- Forwarding an entry to the search provider selected by the visitor
- Seeing which content is used and where it needs attention
- Finding and repairing technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general browsing interests
No Warrant Data on File
Carter County Warrant Records does not host, assemble, sell, or maintain an official warrant database or a collection of person-level warrant information. The site describes where Carter County, city, state, and federal records may be held and how to contact those public offices. Visitor information is not combined into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search widgets on some pages are provided by outside services. Anything entered into a widget is processed under that company’s privacy notice rather than this policy. The provider controls its own retention and sharing practices. Read its terms before submitting a name or another identifier.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link to Carter County and city offices, Tennessee court and state sources, federal courts, and outside search providers. Following a link takes the visitor to a separate service with its own privacy rules. Check those rules before sharing personal data there.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and choose ads. This policy does not control those systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by this site. Information may be handled by:
- Search providers that receive a query entered in their widget
- Analytics companies that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on the pages
- A government office or law-enforcement body responding to a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
The operator uses common security practices intended to protect the information it handles. Online systems cannot be guaranteed free from every failure or intrusion, so no promise can be made that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal details from anyone under eighteen. If a minor is believed to have submitted information, the operator may remove it when identified.
Your Data Rights
Tennessee’s Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. § 10-7-503 et seq., covers access to records held by government offices, such as county or court records. It does not apply to data held by a private website merely because that data concerns Carter County. Depending on applicable law, visitors may also ask the operator to:
- Provide a copy of personal information held about them
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Remove information when the law permits
- Stop certain data uses where an opt-out right applies
Updates to This Policy
The policy may change as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with its effective date. Visitors should review it again when they want to know how current data is handled.
